Day After Day
Day after Day presents one day in the life of Supaporn “Ja” Panprasit, the primary breadwinner of her family. She supports her household by working as a delivery rider—an occupation defined by day-to-day income, where missing even one day of work directly affects the income she needs to support her two children, two grandchildren, and her mother.
At a time when platform systems have reduced payment per delivery to less than twenty baht and welfare support remains extremely limited, Ja continues to work. While others celebrate the year-end holidays, she rides her motorcycle into the new year—transporting both people and goods, weaving through the streets and alleyways of Nonthaburi and Bangkok.
Behind their smiles are questions about labor under digital platforms and welfare systems that are outdated and unable to support workers’ quality of life.
